The summer of 2007 saw some of the worst floods in many years and the weather had been
absolutely atrocious so we were not expecting to have an absolutely
glorious weekend. I was having serious problems with the Matchless G11 involving re-bores etc. so I took the BSA B40
to the Rally.
When we made our way to the campsite the weather was baking hot and the
ground dry contrary to our expectations. The facilities were great and the setting
amongst the sandy lanes and rolling Suffolk Fields was superb.

The picture above shows us setting off along the lanes on the Saturday Run.
Nancy waits with her "pillion" as Bob starts the bike at the start of the
run.
This is the lighthouse at Southwold
it sits in amongst the houses and dominates this very pretty costal
resort. Southwold was the destination of the Saturday run and was well
worth the trip.

beautiful weather and the busy bustle of the beach at Southwold
How could I not show a view of the famous Southwold Beach Huts?
Helen, myself and the B40 at the Sunday Run parking spot in Felixstow.
This was after another lovely run through the Suffolk lanes in the
bright sunlight dappled through the trees. Felixstow turned out to
be a very nice place indeed especially in the sunshine.
The excitement of rallying can sometimes be too much for some of the
participants.
A prize winning AJS - nice isn't it?
How else could you finish a rally?. The Scottish Section enjoying
